Argan Oil, the Green Gold of Morocco from a sacred tree
For centuries, Berber women have been harvesting the fruits of the argan tree, “the gift of God” or “the father of all”, to extract a precious oil. Endemic shrub of southern Morocco, which can, according to legend, live up to 1000 years, the Argan tree, Argana Spinosa, also plays an important role in limiting the advance of the desert.
Resistant, wild, evergreen, adapted to arid soils, with a tortuous trunk, rough and thorny bark, a powerful root system and generous nuts, it is the symbol of the Berber way of life, and the emblem of the country.
Its exploitation is exclusively a women’s affair since the dawn of time, ensuring an independent work, a craft know-how transmitted from mothers to daughters, unique, long and difficult: harvesting, pulping, crushing, roasting (on a low fire for the edible oil), pressing or trituration, kneading, cold pressing, filtering and bottling for an immediate use
The oil, a golden liquid, has earned it the nickname of “Green Gold”, the most expensive oil in the world, even though some steps can now be done mechanically.
A tree gives its fruits after 5 years, its best yield at 60 years, about 10 to 35 kg of fruits, for 6 to 8 kg of kernels, that is to say 3 to 4 liters of food oil or half for cosmetics.
A real treasure, whose superpower for skin and hair is worth its weight.
In our soap knowing how to soap to perfection, the Argan oil is just dosed generously for an ideal daily toilet.
The Benefits of Argan oil, rare, naturally perfect
If argan oil penetrates very easily into the skin or hair, it carries with it vitamins A and E, antioxidants and essential fatty acids. The skin sings at the top of its voice its incredible virtues under the shower: it nourishes, restores elasticity, flexibility, it repairs, regenerates, protects by restoring the lipidic film, it fights against dehydration, soothes and heals. It reduces all imperfections. An elixir of youth, certainly. A beauty treasure also for the hair which, small bonus, makes them beautiful, flexible and brilliant.
A green gold medal that raises our favorite Argan Oil Soap on the podium of leading soaps.
The miracle of goats perched in the argan trees
Gourmandise makes us do crazy things; goats are the same, in the land of argan trees, their fruit is a graal. The goats love the pulp of nuts, chew them whole, and after a princely digestion, reject the starch almost intact in their excrements. And to reach this nirvana, once they have swallowed the nuts from the ground, they have no other choice than to climb the tree, to climb high, sometimes very high.
If you have seen a goat in a tree, you are not dreaming! However, it is better to use an oil whose starch has not been digested by these four gourmet paws, because its perfume is not then of the best taste. The oil coming directly from the nut picked (and not collected) maternally on the tree by the Berber hands, has in principle no or little smell (the light one of the hazelnut).
“Not everyone is a gourmet“. Anthelme Brillat-Savarin, gastronome and culinary author of the eighteenth century
Our Argan Oil Soap promises a nice and sweet scent, a subtle blend of orange blossom, musk and linden.

Soap yourself, La Folie Savon will help you
The drop of water will make the cream soap overflow.
Wet the skin, face, body and hands. Turn off the water.
Put your hand in the soap and rub it all over wet skin, put it down and massage generously. Breathe in. Under the water, the fragrance takes on its full strength, its flight, perfumes your senses and your environment.
Everything comes in good time to those who know how to soap.
Scrub with broken soaps, you wash, and at the same time, you obtain a cream more and more unctuous. It is an emulsion resulting from the active mixture of vegetable oils and water. Take your time, the time of the caresses of the soul and the body.
You can also wet your hand, take a little soap in its hollow, then massage until you obtain the soapy cream. With this cream, wash your body, your face.
The more you massage, the more you create matter. And, the more you take the time to soap yourself and the more the emulsified oils nourish your skin. Who sows the cream, reaps the soft skin.
Perfumes fly away, softness settles in.
Wait a few seconds, even a minute. Rinse and dry your skin properly. Your skin will be clean, nourished, soft and lightly scented.
Every day has its own soap.
In the realm of daily care, La Folie Perfumed Moisturizing Soap is King.
For more comfort, or at certain times of the year or of life, you can complete your daily cleansing care with oils or moisturizing creams.
Scalded soap fears stagnant water.
A little maintenance advice. Take care of your soap as it takes care of you, keep it dry.
